Ag for Autism is an allegiance of local businesses dedicated to helping local children and families affected by autism. As a charitable, non-profit organization, section 501(c)(3), it was established in 2012 to bring together local agriculture-related businesses to collect donations and hold fundraisers on an ongoing basis. It has since broadened to include several non-agricultural businesses as well, but in this area of Arkansas, most people or businesses have some sort of connection to agriculture. Proceeds will be channeled to area autism research and therapy programs. To date, Ag for Autism has raised and granted out over $1 million to local schools and individuals.
